Hello everyone, I am Japan Culinary Institute (JCI) !
It is already fall in Japan!
For Japanese people, the fish of autumn is "Sanma" (Pacific Saury)!
Sanma is written in kanji (Chinese characters) as "autumn sword fish," and as the name implies, it is a sword-shaped fish that tastes best in fall.
Many people may not have a clear idea of what Sanma is, but as you can see from the picture, it is a blue fish that looks like a long, thin mackerel.
The Japanese simply love to eat𼢠Sanma grilled with salt!
Grilled to a golden brown and served hot with grated daikon and soy sauce over white rice is the best part of fall season.
Some people even say that you can't really feel the autumn season until you eat it.
Japanese gourmets even enjoy the bitterness of the liver of the Sanma!
Why don't you learn Japanese cuisine in Japan, where the borders are finally open?
Of course, tasting seasonal Japanese food is also a great learning experience!
